  • The Nuffic Netherlands Education Support Office (Nuffic Neso)
  • The Dutch higher education institution to which you are applying; they can inform you about available scholarships.

4. How expensive is student life in the Netherlands?

A student in the Netherlands spends an average of €700 to €1,000 a month. This is the amount needed to cover daily expenses, to pay the rent and registration and tuition fees. You cannot rely on finding a source of additional income after you arrive.

5. Can I use my foreign diploma to study or work in the Netherlands?

Nuffic is the central point of contact for the evaluation of foreign diplomas in higher and general secondary level education. The diploma evaluation centre issues written statements indicating the equivalent value of a certain foreign diploma or course of education in the Netherlands. These statements have an advisory status only and are not legally binding. For more information on how to have your foreign diploma evaluated in the Netherlands please consult the Information Centre for Credential Evaluation (IDW).
