Vacancy Internship Neso Indonesia 3-4 months

Netherlands Education Support Office (Neso) is a non-profit organization funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education. Neso Indonesia is the representative office of NUFFIC, the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education.

Neso is the official representative in Indonesia for all matters concerning Dutch higher education and promotes and provides information on more than 1300 study programs taught in English in the Netherlands. Neso also initiates and facilitates institutional cooperation between Indonesian and Dutch universities and offers on behalf of the Dutch Government scholarships to about 200 Indonesians every year.

 

Neso Indonesia is offering a position for an intern Web Master Neso Indonesia to assist Neso Indonesia staff in Jakarta in establishing and enhancing web and online marketing activities for Neso Indonesia in Jakarta.  The internship period is foreseen for at least three months until December 2008.

 

The intern will be involved in evaluating the current website, developing a Neso blog and optimizing the usage of online marketing activities for neso Indonesia and the study in Holland campaign.

 

Essential qualifications:

o        Minimum Bachelor degree/final year student in a relevant discipline related to the primary responsibilities

o        Experienced in web design

  • Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experienced in web design
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash

o        Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia

o        Sense of initiative and hands-on approach

o        Team-spirit

 

Desirable qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centred design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets.
  • Working experience in a communications/ public relations environment, particularly in a university setting is preferred

 

Responsibilities:

o        To assist the Education Promotion staff in evaluating the current website and revitalizing it to make it more attractive to visitors

o        To assist the Education Promotion staff in developing the blog competition activity in conjunction with the launch of study in Holland new logo

o       To assist the Education Promotion in creating the web/online marketing activities
